Antonio Minervini

Antonio Minervini was born in southern Italy in a small seaside town.

At the age of 15, he began painting and at 18 he moved to Venice where he studied study architecture at the Venice architecture college (IUAV). Continuing his artistic training as an autodidact.
He approaches the painters of the Venetian scene who gravitate around the Bevilaqua la Masa foundation. In Venice, he exhibited in collective and solo exhibitions.

Participated in various competitions including Young Artists of the Bevilaqua La Masa and the International Prize for Art “La Colomba”. Selected by the Swatch Emotion award in 1992, he exhibited his work at the Lingotto in Turin.

His pictorial story went through various periods between figurative and abstract.

In recent years he investigates the enigma of figuration through his favorite subjects: Faces and Flowers (Human and Nature).

In December 2019 opening “SIMPLE IS COMPLICATED “ a solo exhibition in Udine (Italy) at “le officine vintage” with his most recent works.

During the Covid-19 health emergency, the “Italian_Postcards” art project was born to rediscover beauty as therapy and show the world the Italian beauties, roots of rebirth. Pride and Renaissance
