Kike Mayer

Argentina

Kike Mayer (San Carlos de Bariloche; February 4, 1959) is an Argentine plastic artist, he challenges social, economic, political, and cultural conflicts through painting. The level of detail in his works offers the viewer a story that continually changes direction. Brushstrokes crossed by snow and Patagonian wind, pictorial characters from the worn-out 21st century, and a rebellious story, melancholic but full of colors that invite you to get lost among the trees. Through the making of masks, he hides the hermit side of him and approaches the theater, the street, and intriguing group activities that disturb the harmony of a numb society. Within his career, he has won multiple national and international awards. His works are exhibited around the world in museums and private collections.
