Rafael Van Streepen
Born in Amsterdam and raised in Canada. Rafael started painting as a form of therapy and celebration of colors as a child and never wanted to stop. At the age of 22 Rafael emerged into the art market painting everything from big mural works around New York and using a multitude of different materials on canvas. For the last years Rafael has become particularly fond of oil and as thus has put his focus in oil on canvas. The freedom and intuitive relationship to painting that Rafael experienced as a child is one in which he clearly still plays with his paintings now as a grown man.
