Dans le port d'Amsterdam...once sang Mr.Brel. Always moved by its skyline, here is a view that prompted me to paint it, of course, after seeing and studying it many times. There is not much to say except that I absolutely love this small but great piece. While painting it I thought as I often do about my beloved children and as always, while painting I cried like a little boy. This is what I turn my tears into, y Olé!
