Man Hood

In a Mexican Household for a man to cry or show any emotions that weren't a "masculine" emotion was something that was shameful. I grew up watching my father drink himself to death and family member suppress their feelings for the fear of being called gay or be made fun of. This idea of what it means to be masculine is harmful to many boys growing up , because there are outcomes as a result of this, Drug use, suicide, Violence, Higher College and high school drop out rates, and the list can go on, as a man, I feel responsible to show other men that its fine to be feminine it's okay to cry and that masculinity is just an idea and that's an idea that holds no real value or purpose.
