Description:
Tezeta means Nostalgia in Ethiopian. Taken from Mulatu Astatke's same-titled song, I use pastels and acrylics to represent my nostalgic feeling for home, and the colours of the houses of my village. Deeply personal, creating this painting was a healing process for me and my homesickness.
