Street Urchin in a night street scene in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. Only shady drug dealers and hookers around me in that time of night while I simply observed the local moves as usual. Thousands, hundreds of thousands of victims from decades of war in Colombia. Orphaned children turned to street urchins (Gamines) turned to drug addicts, afar from any help. It is well known that children are some of the most damaged victims in any war scenario, traumatized for life, untreated. Painting about it raises these issues from my small perspective...
