Toro de Lidia

This work presents a new exploratory path in my repertoire, where minimalism and simplicity take the main stage to represent a figurative image of a Lidia bull. It seeks not only to express- through minimal use of brushstrokes- the bull's personality and intensity in the bullfight plaza but also its purity and individual essence as an animal in its own right. The color scheme used appropriately depicts this particular bull, with bright oranges, yellows, and browns clashing with their darker counterparts to create a sense of realism and depth. Since it is the first time I use such a minimal and modern style of painting, this piece is special and it provides a possible path for the development of a future style and thus is a stepping stone on my work as a young artist.
