Workshop Introduction to Linocut
Discover the timeless art of linocutting in this engaging introductory workshop. Learn how to make your own linocut from scratch and become a printmaker!
What You’ll Learn:
During this hands-on session, I’ll guide you through:
Designing your unique design and transferring it onto a lino block.
Mastering the use of a carving tool (gouge) to carve your design.
Printing your personalized linocut.
Each participant will receive a set of carving tools, sketching paper, transfer paper, and a A5 size piece of linoleum, along with plenty of paper for printing.
In this session, we’ll create a single-color design using a color of your choice. Feel free to bring your own black and white drawing (A5 size) or improvise—there will be plenty of inspiration available on-site.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll take home a set of prints of your own design, as well as your linocut block, which you can continue printing from endlessly!
