Calì

Calì is an Italian artist. She is a child of art, she started painting at a very young age. Her painting invites us to broaden our horizons towards new visions in which color is anti-democratic. As the author herself states, “her works always hide what we no longer see. Contemporary spaces without sound and without history”. A pictorial research that is loaded with strong conceptual contents and a strong sense of movement, entering into full synergy with color and light, the only protagonists of her works. Her attention is drawn to the complexity of modern life, with a particular interest in memory and consumerism. She has participated in exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Her experience in New York was significant and allowed her, thanks to the study of the great masters, to continue her research. She currently lives and works in Scalea, southern Italy, where she opened her art studio Maison Calì.
