Untitled Young Girl

I made this painting in 2018. It was inspired by a beautiful and very haunting black and white picture of a young girl I came across one day. Photography has always been a great source of inspiration for me, and I use it very often as a resource for my artwork. This painting is part of a series on Childhood, a recurring theme in my work. Its magical, complex, and often misunderstood quality, is something I've been drawn to throughout my career, and always seem to revisit.
