Edmee III is part of an ongoing oil painting portrait series inspired by my friend and model Edmee. It began randomly with conversations about her love life, after which, followed portraits which seemed to inevitably hold the emotional charge of the given conversation we had had that day. In Edmee III, for the first time, Edmee looks at the viewer, witholding a stronger glance & pose, a paper in her hand with some latest determinations etc... Thus a portrayal of the feminine, her strength as also the fragility.
