Dans le port d'Amsterdam... once sang Mr.Brel.... Always moved by its skyline, here a view that moved me to paint it, naturally, after seeing it and studying it many times. There isn't much to say other than I absolutely love this small yet grand piece. While I painted it I thought as I often do of my beloved children and as always, while I painted I cried like a small boy. This is what I turn my tears into, y Olé!
