Girl With Butterflies

This pencil drawing on paper was one of the first of my self-portrait series, a turning point in my artistic career. Many cultures associate the butterfly with our souls. Around the world, people view the butterfly as representing endurance, change, hope, and life. There is no doubt the butterfly has significant meanings to us. When I made this piece I was in a low point and needed to make some changes in my life. That is why I choose the butterfly as part of the piece. Changes in both personal and career wise.
