The diptich is inspired by the pagan ancient custom of lighting bonfires, which exists in parallel in many cultures and for different purposes. The subject of the painting also alludes to a possible magical relationship between events occurring in different parts of the world, as well as the influence of natural phenomena on our perception of the world. The time of the year - autumn, harvest time, transition to winter - also plays an important role in the subject of the painting. At the same time, the painting is a homage to the works of Andrei Tarkovsky. The work is done in oil and partly in gouache, which creates a contrast of textures
